O God of goodness and mercy , thank You for each day of my life. This is the day which You have made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. to Thy fatherly guidance we commend our family, our household and all our belongings. We commit all to Thy love and keeping. Thank You God that no matter what we are going through as a family, we can still have hope!

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Help us to love You Lord, our God, with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength.  Help us to also love our neighbor as ourselves. Let each one of us obey Thee, love Thee and set ourselves to follow by example the life of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

With You, we are full of joy and happiness. Lord, even in hard times, we can remain joyful. Thank You Lord – that as a child of the living God – we are made to be winners.  We were born to succeed!  We are made to be the head and not the tail; above only, and not beneath.  With You – we can have victory in every area of our life.

For the joy of the Lord is our strength. God, we are thankful for Your Word – that when the righteous cry, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. We praise You Lord!  You are our all-knowing and unlimited God! You can see the end from the beginning.  We pray for wisdom and direction in every area of our life.

You will make for our family a way even when there seems to be no way. Heavenly father, bless us, and keep us. Protect us and our house from all evils and misfortunes, but grant that we may be ever resigned to your Divine Will even in the sorrows which it shall please You to send us. , make Your face shine upon us, and be gracious unto us, lift up Your countenance upon us, and give us peace. Finally, give unto all of us the grace to live in perfect harmony and in the fullness of love toward our neighbor. Grant that every one of us may deserve by holy life the comfort of Thy holy Sacraments at the hour of death.

God of Mercy and God of Justice, as the election approaches, we seek to better understand the issues and concerns that confront our country Kenya. Look upon our land at this period of civic decision making. This great and peaceful nation which you created waits to elect Her leaders by August this year. All authorities come from you and unless you build a city in vain do the builders labor. We are sure that in all things we must seek your assistance believing that all things work together for the good of those who revere and love you.

You have always helped us in the past and we are fully confident that you will come to our aid even now. As we prepare to elect those who are to lead us at the local government, County and national levels, endow us with the spirit of love, discernment, right judgment, sincerity of heart and courage to do this.

May you never allow our tribal myopia and intrigue to discourage and mislead us. May we go out to vote for leaders, men and women who will be true shepherds after your heart, leaders who will use the natural and human resources with which you bless our country to serve us and improve our spiritual and material well being.

May we choose leaders who will think less of themselves and their tribes but rather who are competent and concerned with the improvement of all citizens. Leaders who will not use their citizens of this country especially the youth as human shields, but rather consider every citizen’s life as equal as their own.

May we also choose leaders who have the fear of God and also respect and affection for God’s creation. Enlighten our politicians to be less selfish and more altruistic. Teach them to use dialogue and not violence or chaos for campaigning for votes.

May they show affection to their opponents rather than hatred. May they desist from using occultic and devilish means in seeking our mandate but rather through intelligent and realistic programs of activities. God of infinite mercy, look upon our jobless and unemployed youths who may be used as instruments of destruction, war and discord. Give them the courage and wisdom to resist the temptation of money or any material things and empty promises for carrying out inhuman acts which all serves as vanity aspect of life.

O Lord, Our Beloved King,
Deliver us from wrong choices.

Deliver us from corrupt leaders.

Deliver us from anti life leaders.

Deliver us from anti-family.
Deliver us from incompetent leaders.
Deliver us from people who plan to cheat.
Deliver us from any election violence.
Give us a peaceful and honest election.
Help us in our discernment …
Teach us to vote wisely. Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Dear God,

We praise you for your love and faithfulness. We thank you for your protection and care over our families. Thank you that you give us the power to love well; the wisdom to lead and teach our children. We know you’re for us; that you fight for our families today. You are Redeemer, Restorer, and Friend, we believe you have good in store. We confess, some days, parenting is tough. Many days we can feel anxious or overwhelmed. We ask that you would make us more like you, more aware of your constant Presence in our lives. Help us to release our children to You, so that You are free to fully accomplish all that You desire, in them, through them. Please fill our families with your truth and cover us with your favor.

Lord, we pray for these blessings over our children, today, and every day, we pray for courage, contentment, encouragement, endurance, faithfulness, favor, forgiveness, fruitfulness generosity, Godly Relationships, obedience, health, honesty, humility, integrity, and kindness.

Please let your blessings and Word shine on our children and family, as we seek to honor you.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

O Lord,

You are Lord over all creation.

Every day we are surrounded by the miracle of life.
Your creativity bursts across the skies at sunset, it emerges from spring buds that bloom.

Thank you for the beauty of marriage.
Like three streams that merge into one single river, you are journeying with us.
You are the creative, restoring current that runs through our relationship.

May we stand strong in our friendship like a tall oak tree.
May we pull together through the different seasons of our lives so that we become closer.

May we ride out the storms and rest in the fair weather.
May we care for one another, so that we blossom and bloom as individuals.
May we have your vision as we soar above the everyday to glimpse the kingdom of heaven.

May we learn the truth of real beauty as we change and age together.
And may we reflect your love, hope, and truth that you have poured into our union.

Thank you that through your strength and grace we are able to love, care and provide for our loved ones and the wider world. Grant this through Christ our Lord.

We praise and thank You that we have boldness to enter into the throne-room of God, to plead and pray to our heavenly Father. Raise up, we pray an army of faithful men to become prayer-warriors – intercessors for their families and for the whole body of Christ in these dark days that we are currently facing. May they be men that pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and may they stand as watchmen with all perseverance and supplication for all Your children.

Lord we know that the prayers of righteous men are powerful and effective and we pray that the men of this nation will build up a wall of prayer and praise that will surround and uphold their Christian brothers and sisters, who are weaker or younger in the faith than they. May their prayers form a hedge of protection, from the fiery darts of the wicked one, around the body of Christ Jesus.

Raise up we pray men of faith; men of the Word – men of prayer. Baptise them in the spirit of prayer and immerse their hearts in pure; persistent prayers-soaked intercessions for all the saints of God, in Jesus name we pray,

Dear Lord, we pray for all women,

You walk beside them, each moment of each day.
You know them by their names, see each joy and sorrow.
You created within them a gentle capacity to love and nurture.
You gave them understanding and patience in a troubled world.
You laid upon them the responsibility to carry and care for new life.
You released them to run and dance, to sing and create.
You crafted in them sharp minds that are able to solve problems and see possibilities.
You desire each of them to live life to the full, embracing your love for them and extending grace to others.
You gave your life so that they could walk free to build your kingdom on earth as in heaven.

We lay our lives before you and trust in your unfailing love.

Guide them,
Heal them,
Touch them,
Protect them,
And lead them,
To reflect more and more of your life within their own.

Eternal God and Father, I come before You today broken, yet humbled. Thank You my Lord for another opportunity to serve You; and although my circumstances may be far from ideal right now, they could not be in more perfect hands than Yours. Jesus, You call for all of us who are weary and heavy laden to come before You and that You will give us rest. God, my body and my soul both need rest right now. There are days I feel like nothing is going right; other days I am irritated and stressed beyond what it seems like I can handle; and there are times I wonder how I am ever going to make it on the path You have laid out before me. But then I reflect upon Your promises for my life. You have promised to never leave me nor forsake me; and that every good gift is from above. I believe Jesus has been tried and tempted in every way I have and that I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. And for that today, Lord, I am grateful.

Father, please help me to have a softened heart towards my children’s (father/mother). Lord please forgive me for when I have acted out towards him/her when I shouldn’t have. God help me to remember that I am just as broken as they are and that Jesus died for him/her the same as He died for me. God I pray you would bless my children’s (father/mother); that you would draw his/her heart towards Yours; and that You would keep him/her safe and healthy. Lord, help me to have an attitude of forgiveness and to show grace even when it is not being reciprocated back to me. Help me to take the high road and to hold fast to that standard to which I have attained.

Lord please bless my children. Help me bring them up in Your Word so that even when they are old they will not depart from it. Please protect them both in the natural and the supernatural. I pray to bind the negative influences of this world over their lives and to release Your promises over them instead. Keep them safe and healthy and allow them to be bold witnesses to their friends for Your sake. Above all, my Lord, please continue to change me from glory to glory so that I may be used in a mighty way for Your purposes. Help me to offer my body as a living and holy sacrifice, walking in a way that is pure in every aspect of my life. For I know my eternity is secured in You and that You will supply my every need. Thank You for everything You have blessed me with.

In Jesus’ Name, amen.

Father of goodness and love, you who restores our health, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I bring my family before You, praying for peace in the family. Jehovah Nissi, Lord my God, my family is struggling and battling with the enemy right now. I pray that You give them strength, Oh Father, allow peace in their lives.

Bless them spiritually so that they will hunger and thirst after You and Your righteousness and they shall be filled. Bless them financially, guard them under Your wings. Protect them against all evil, cover them with Your precious blood, wash them white as snow.

Conflict, prejudice, hate, jealousy and pride against one another will vanish at the sound of Your great name. The enemy will flee when he senses Your presence, he will not prevail! Remove pain, suffering, anxiety, worry and fear, in Jesus’ mighty name!

Break every chain that binds them. Release the shackles of their lives so they can live freely to worship and praise Your Holy name.

Tear down the strongholds that restrict them from knowing You. Help them to realize they can find love, joy, peace, happiness and rest within You and You alone. Set their hearts and minds to focus diligently on You  and to seek You persistently.

Remind them that You are always near and they can cast their every burden upon You to find rest. Allow us to execute love and happiness towards one another as we embrace Your gentle spirit.

In Jesus’ Holy name I pray, Amen!

Heavenly Father we bring before You all the teachers throughout this land of ours, and pray that You would guard and guide them in the vital responsibility of educating a new generation of children and young people.

We confess Lord that as a nation we have sought to keep God out of the classroom and separated from school and learning - and we acknowledge that this has only been to our own detriment and a great disservice to the children that are being educated in our school system.

Lord we pray that You would challenge the hearts of our educators to recognise that vulnerabilities of children and to balance discipline with dignity and control with care. Help teachers to be conscious of the need for constructive criticism rather than destructive faultfinding and to offer a motivating environment which embraces fairness, honesty and integrity with appropriate praise – a learning environment where trust is nurtured and not exploited.

Lord we pray that You would raise up teachers with godly standards and unbiased teaching techniques and we pray that our classroom and teachers return to the godly principles, which our forefathers held dear, in Jesus name we pray,

Dear God, I ask that You would be with me as I prepare for my exams and thank You Lord, for the wonderful educational opportunity that You have granted me – enabling me to undertake this course of study.

As I now prepare for my exams I pray that You would be close to me and calm my nerves and remove any anxious thoughts from my heart, so that I may approach this exam with a clear mind and a tranquil spirit.

Help me to do my best I pray, to answer the questions clearly and to express my thoughts lucidly. Calm my nerves I pray, and bring to my mind all that I have studied - so that I may be able to answer all the questions to the very best of my ability.

Thank You that You have promised to be with me in all things I ask that You stay very close in this exam, in Jesus name I pray,

Heavenly Father, in your wisdom you have called certain women and men to a life of special consecration so that in prayerful observance of a lifestyle of poverty, chaste celibacy and obedience, they might be witnesses to us that as St. Paul says, "our true citizenship is in heaven." Give them, Lord, the grace of joy and perseverance in their holy vocation. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

Let us purpose to stand in the gap for our families.
